So during the event I decided to try something new for myself. I swapped over to my vehicle character for a little while and played with my builds. Dipping into a few loyalty points I decided to buy a missile turret for my tank and remove the railgun. The original reason i specked railguns was that nobody used them. This is generally what appeals to me as far as weapons go, being the fact they are unused.
So swapping over to this missile boat instead of the railgun it forced a different playstyle due to long reload times. It was a stealth tank, as hard as that sounds to be. My kill count for tanks during this event was roughly 30 tanks and I didnt lose a tank. Missile turrets seem to suit me better than rails did. Funny thing was that not only were alot of them standard tanks, they were fighting back.
Anyway, just giving a salute to all you missile tankers and a smack to the back of your head for not telling me these were this fun before.... >.>

I run a gunnlogi. Tank is built for survival with a booster, hardener and complex extender. Cant fit a nitrous sadly XD

You'll be one-volleying almost any armor tank and any unhardened shield tank (well that's with proto missiles, I'm not sure about standard and advanced). I also don't like the booster because it's bugged; it always fails me when I'm being shot by railguns, and that's when I need it the most. Plus it also seems like you give up your small turrets and lows for PG expansion to fit that booster.
Yeah i have to run both powergrid and cpu extensions. Also their just state missiles. Basic levels. But yes, missiles are fun. The sp from the event is going to give me missiles for my missile large turrets.

Honestly...their powerful. They hit like trucks and can kill a tank before the turret can rotate to face you. Can kill installations in one volley. Their just dangerous

Was a tanker in 1.6 and 1.5 as well mate. 1.7 there used alot x.x
