As IGÇÖve always been a Winmatar Logi, IGÇÖm used to not having a sidearm and have gotten used to using my nades as a CQC offensive weapon (Cores) and have gotten my cooking down to an art. Strangely enough; IGÇÖm weirdly looking forward to the nerf to the amount of nades we can carry.
Hopefully I won't go though my next controller as quickly!

Has Dust broken your controller/KBM? If so; how and what happened? The sprint button (L3?) was messed up on my old ds3 controller. Granted the controller was like 3 years old and the stick was worn out from playing other games. But dust completely recked it after I started playing scout.
Fun fact: I acutely could not snipe in dust due to the stick "moving" on its own. Sometimes my controller would spazz out too and the map would randomly appear and I would randomly start jumping and throwing nades for no reason. I assume it had something to do with the controller.
Also, whenever I afk, I plug in my old ds3 because I don't need to rubber band it for it to "move" lol
But back in November I got a ps4 controller... :D

DUST actually wore out the rubber on the left stick on my ps4 controller. One of the edges is worn straight through :P

Maybe I dont know, every game can be somewhat rage inducing; all games have these qualities but IGÇÖd say Dust is pretty high up in that category. Its pretty stressful at times IGÇÖd admit.
The feeling of lose is real here. That AR might only cost one cent but it is gone when you die. Wallet management is tough for some and rage inducing for others. A friend of mine tried EVE a few years back, lost a decent destroyer and rage quit, he couldn't handle the fact of losing it means losing it. He wants to reload or restart or just get another, New Eden isn't like that it hurts people.

Yeh when I went back over to BF3/4 it felt every empty. That when you destroyed that vehicle or trooper; there wasn't any sense that that person lost something or when I died there was no meaning behind it.
Actually losing your gear is much better IMO.

This exact reason is why it will be difficult for New Eden to go belly up. Not many other games give people the shakes or offers the feeling of accomplishment of dropping some dude in a proto suit five times and knowing he is out ISK and he may actually have to play differently because he can't or doesn't want to afford the sixth. The shakes aren't as bad after playing for a while but the feeling of lose is always there.
EVE/DUST514 has ruined me on other games, they do feel empty and pointless. Especially if they are multilayer, I am almost to the point of single shard or nothing because all the other games whom have multiple server clusters for the same game feel hollow, I like hardcore games and after being in New Eden for a few years I don't get the hardcore feeling from other games anymore.

Well there is a plethora of social and psychological aspects to consider on the topic. Life is not black and white and while dust does make it easier to break a controller, self restraint would also make it as easy not to break it. We are not obligated to play the game and the tried and tested Break from the game would efficiently save you a couple of bucks.
For those who don't care about the money, A nice concrete wall is always a good target when throwing a controller somewhere.

Don't get me wrong, loses from junk are the worse and I am not trying to say otherwise. It is infuriating to lose from no fault of your own.

Ive already had to disasemble my current DS3 to fix the damage caused by me throwing it at a wall through rage. So sometimes if I try to sprint it tries to call in an LAV and opens the overhead map. Which is agravating in a CQC situation.
Ordered a Gold Chrome coloured one to make me think twice about using the Plasma Cannon.

Has Dust broken your controller/KBM? If so; how and what happened?
Worth getting a DS4 if you have broken your DS3 lately...
Grab your DS3.... Put it in your two hands... Now move your aiming joystick with almost the least input you can in a tight circle..
This is the problem with the DS3... It has a Giant deadzone in that tight circle where almost no input can be registered and if it is... It's very inconsistent...
The DS4 doesn't have this... that deadzone is so small its not noticeable on that scale of analog... Even better is the Joystick top thumb part will actually hold your thumb no matter how intense the fight gets... Or how much Pizza sauce is on your finger.... It sits more comfortably in more peoples hands aswell...
The DS4 has been confirmed by numerous posts on these forums to work good on everything but the Playstation Home button.

Sounds like you either dislodged the spring or depressed it.
It's actually a pretty easy fix, just take it apart carefully and line the spring up or stretch it back out.
Don't need to spend the money on a new controller.
I've frankensteined a few controllers together because I've broken something like the connector that holds the back and front of the controller case together. |

Skyrim made me not ever want to buy a Bethesda game again. You think CCP is bad? Bethesda released a game that they knew was unplayable that I payed $60 for. I put my time in on that gem but I probably won't play another game from them for a long time, if ever. They knew it was borked up and didn't care and that is disrespectful to all gamers on every platform. If they had said that they knew that there were problems I would understand but they sold it to me like there was nothing wrong with it at all. Oblivion was rough but Skyrim was unacceptable.
You CAN stop, I have faith in you. Don't quit quitting.
