Actually lets talk about new Heavy Weapons, I am down for a rail Minigun from your friendly neighborhood Caldari. Or perhaps a full auto shotgun courtesy of Gallente.
Or we could just talk about rowing vs. wading. I believe the latter is a superior method for crossing lakes.
Your probably gonna wanna talk about new heavy weapons though.

I'm curious as to what the heavy weapons for the Amarr and Gallente CCP will make. I'm guessing something like the Spartan Laser from Halo would be the heavy weapon for the Amarr. the Gallente heavy weapon could be another anti infantry weapon kind of like OPs idea for a heavy shotgun or a .50 cal style auto-cannon with high-DPS/low-RoF.

I wrote an idea for a light Caldari weapon awhile ago, it's not that detailed but I drew some art and gave it a basic role in the game, I feel like an Amarr heavy weapon could also work similarly to the gun I thought of, albeit with longer range and lacking a spread.

Gelente heavy weapon "Electron cannon" Fires a using a rectical like the shotgun, but a tad smaller, but hits everything in the rectical out to 15m for 400 damage per shot, 3 shots per mag with a RoF similar to the breach shotgun.
Trigger can be held for a charge shot
Charge shot takes 2 seconds to charge then automaticaly releases, Charge shot dose +200% damage to shields and -50% damage to armor, also increases range to 25m
Makes it a heavy duty shotgun that has to reload often, but can be used to own shield tanks with charge shots.
These forums must be located in the Californin country side, there is whine as far as the eye can see.
