Meanwhile let us read through some of the threads were the Minmatar "discuss" the UP'ness of their Assault suit...oh wait, they're filled with nothing but anger and rage. Minmatar support is one thing against you Amarrian scum. As scouts in general, were all still kind of in the same boat. Paper suits, that are supposed to have bonuses to help our survivability and effectiveness.
Yes I'm a proud Minmatar scout, and since I don't have Minmatar knives to slit your throat with, I have to use Capitalist Caldari ones (For too high of a price you capitalist space pirates). My only issue with the Minmatar assault suits is that lore wise, their shield regen is far too low to make them an effective "Hit and run" race as you can achieve the same speed with greater shields, and regen rate with a Caldari suit and a kincat, and the slot layout for Minmatar assault and Caldari assault should be switched. Minmatar should have less shield tank than Caldari, less armor tank than Gallente but have the versatility in their suits to mimic either. They should also have a faster shield regen than the Caldari due to their lore based "Hit and run" play style. Switching the Caldari and Minmatar assault slots would allow for the Caldari to stack one more shield extender, and still have 2 low slots for a complex regulator and whatever else, and would allow the Minmatar the 4 highs for a moderate shield tank (with the aforementioned higher shield regen) and higher speed. I'll stop there because I'm starting to ramble.
That being said I did post in your other thread an actual idea that would keep the Amarr scout as an effective light suit. I was corrected on the bonuses by a fellow corp mate (Thank you), and have edited my idea.
Amarr scouts should get damps and precision. Sure they might be slower than Caldari and Gallente, and of course they should be slower than Minmatar, but being under scans, with passive precision to pick up all but the Gallente scout (At base stats) sounds like a pretty good bonus to me.
Ideas? Thoughts? Discuss.
