When this game was at that stage at its time I felt happy and fully immerse into the game. I felt happy to get my proto gear for the first time I felt happy getting my duvvole for the first time I felt happy having intense tank fights ( disregarding AV ) I felt happy getting destroyed in my first corp battle. It was a heart pounding experience i'll never forget in DUST 514.... Then the update that changed everything came.....
HMG & The Heavy was great if you had a brain
The Assault was awsome no doubt
The logi was a logi nuff said no bullshit Logi/Assault bs
The scout was great and I mean great without a doubt... those who used it know that you could'ev slapped on a dragonfly and kick a-s-s
The Tank fights were awsome with blasters I mean some fights lasted from 30 sec to a minute... Now? people just use a dual dmg mod sica with a millitia railgun and destroy fully skilled tank players with like nearly 60% dmg to rail gun from the mod ( Not sure if the stacking penaltys work that way with active mods....
I mean DUST is still fun but i'll never have that experience like before back then can any vets relate?
Not asking for anyone to agree just sharing my thoughts on the game.
There have been ups and downs along the way, things you are familiar with or like get changed, nerfed etc, but so is the nature of this beast we play. I just enjoy the journey and watching the game evolve and look forward to the day when everything is in the game so proper balancing can commence.

I don't really think either of those things are too pressing. We are here in this game, despite its short comings, because what DUST has no other game has or will ever have. Even if people leave it's only a matter of time before they stumble across some news article or IGN video that showcases the latest developments or big feature and it will be like a siren call, luring them back. Those who pack up their bags for good will be replaced by new people once the game has had longer in the oven.
in any event, I think the community will be singing a different tune come Fanfest.

Because the NPE sucks. CCP said that they are making proper tutorials and that PvE would come this year during EVE Vegas late last year. Ad the game grows and the learning curve & NPE improves so will the player base. Just my prediction, time will tell who's right.
