Smaller hitbox -> more frequently missed shots -> less perceived inflicted damage.

There was this one time, I spawned on a CRU the words, walked forward a few meters, and "Enemy is hacking Clone Reanimation Unit" flashes across my screen. Turned around and sure enough there sitting on top of the CRU, was a sneaky Gal scout hacking the CRU. I emptied the entire clip of my Rail rifle into his head, shield flashes all over the place, 0 damage inflicted. Then while I was reloading he calmly killed me w/ 2 bursts from his CBR.
TL;DR: epitome of bulls**t, and shield flashes aren't an indicator

Summ Dude wrote:You do realize that the SG does 10% more damage to shields and 10% less damage to armor, right? Since it's a plasma weapon. Anyway, here's all the 1.8 Scout stats. See for yourself what their shields are like. But yes, the Caldari suits generally have the highest base shields, as well as the most high slots so they can fit more shield extenders.
Irrelevant to the issue that he is claiming; as to why heavy shields appear easier to strip with weapons fire than shield tanked Caldari meds.
Fyi:
Ammar heavy shields: 480*1.25 = 600hp Cal med/assault: 210*1.25 + 66*4 = 526hp

Fyi: Ammar heavy shields: 480*1.25 = 600hp Cal med/assault: 210*1.25 + 66*4 = 526hp Heavies move slower and are larger, making for less hitbox issues and more shots hitting in a Shotgun spread or a wider (long range) dispersion pattern from any other weapon. When they don't have significantly more shields, that means the shields will be stripped faster.
I already alluded to that, my first post in this thread. I was just pointing out that having the high base shields for a med frame and more highs doesn't come into play in this situation, at least not in the fashion he's saying it.
