I have over 35 million sp and the other match I...
Started by repping an assault with a core focused on a minmatar logi
Switched to an amarr sentinel with an assalt forge to kill the annoying tanks
Switched to my logi again with a six kin assault combat rifle to kill the randoms while supporting the team
Switched to a sentinel with a boundless HMG to kill the fake heavies
Switched to an amarr assault with an imperial scrambler to kill the rail rifle spammers from distance
The only thing I don't have is a decent scout lol
But yeah, being able to counter so many playstyles is awesome.
All of you asking for refunds of your skill points to switch to one specific thing or another...why get a refund when you can just skill into EVERYTHING? Oh wait, you need skill points to do that in the first place...
Then just be patient XD

This is why I have SP in every playstyle. I hate using my ALT because I cant deal with a situation change in a game, I feel for people who have all their points in only one playstyle.
If you can't accept change, you will fail in this world.

But really, versatility is just another word for being able to run a heavy suit in an LAV and not really having to rely on anything less.
CCP marketed the heavy as sniper for God's sakes. Why run a scout suit which would be wholly appropriate. A commando, according to CCP is a big, lumbering fat man with a swarm launcher and an MD. Look up the definition of commando and tell me does that fit.

I really am thinking about going scout though. I like the shotgun playstyle but the extra ehp from my min logi actually works.

Going full ewar at 1.8 with Gal & Cal scout and Gal logi for the scans. I like the scout playstyle.  But versatility is a great thing on the battlefield for sure.

Its the reward for sticking it out with one character.
New players don't have this option (which makes it even harder for them).
The only regret in my SP along the way in Uprising was Spec'ing into the wrong Assault Dropsuits. I actually spec'd into Assault suits instead of Logi suits to use as an assault, whoops. But hopefully 1.8 changes that.
I like the option of being an Assault, Scout, AV, and tanker all in one game. Sometimes I have to pull all of it out of the hat to help my team win, which can be a headache, but it's my job as a vet player with the SP to burn.
It does have the drawbacks, as I have become a jack of trades instead of a Ace at one. Maybe I'm a King Assault player, but spreading the SP out back in the day may have been one of the reasons I gimped myself from being one the Aces in this game.
I look at Soul, Reg, Kobrah, Tibs, etc... and say "I could have been that..." I'm just a late bloomer I suppose and ain't nottin' wrong wit dat!
