There's a lot of threads guessing what the FOTM will be in 1.8.
All the suits realistically will be so different that we can't really point out a single FOTM. May as well put them in categories.
Scout: Gallente with a shotgunner and cloak. Can probably expect ferroscales on it, not sure about the other equipment
Assault: Minmatar with MD. Definitely nanohives on it.
Logi: Hard to say, either caldari or minmatar. Leaning towards caldari with nanohives and triage hives.
Commando: Caldari with a sniper rifle and rail rifle. Will be a ***** at long range.
Sentinel: Hard one again. Either Gallente with an HMG, or Caldari with a forge.

I think the FOTM Logi will be Gallente Logi with Scans. People still need their wallhax and 1000 HP.
They'll be easier to kill in 1.8, with the addition of cloaks and how the nerfs will make them flank-able.

If you are saying there will be several FotM across the races/suits/weapons, its not really FotM is it? It is in fact a step towards the mystical and fabled balance that many deemed a myth, lost to the sands of time.
We have several FOTMs right now, FYI.

HAVs, rail rifles, combat rifles Yes 3 definitive items. Not a range of fits using different weapons, items, suits and races. Each of which are made "FotM" by using racial gear designed to complement unique bonuses.
Well, we could also consider hardeners a big one.
And I'm not saying everything is going to be FOTM.
I guarantee you the community is too stupid to use scouts.
