Ok so this will be my first rant on the good old Dust forums. With this weekends little event some of us are faced with the reality that the best way to help the community is to die as fast as possible. So with that in mind I head out onto the field in a starter fit and a pack of uplinks. So my strategy is sound . Find groups of proto stomping death squads and feed myself (happily I may add) to them bringing along as many of my willing team mates as I can. My first match low and behold I hit the motherload Nyan San in all there stomping glory chewing through everything in sight. So I run up to them toss an up link in front of them and do a little dance. Bang dead. Awesome! Spawn in toss my second uplink Bang dead. Spwan back in with a few team mates Bang we all die. flux grenade......WTF? Ok so some noob who thinks 5 wp is worth the 50 he will get if he waited 5 seconds is ruining the fun. Its bound to happen no big. So spawn back in run back to Death squad , throw an up link in the same spot do dance and die. Flux grenade. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! If a guy runs up to your team on open ground and throws an up link at your god forsaken feet lets you shoot him and shows back up in 5 seconds to drop a second uplink HE MAY BE TRYING TO HELP YOU! NYAN SAN I expected so Goddamned much more from you! Not that you need the help by any stretch of the imagination but I expect during an event like this to be in and out of a 50 clone ambush in 3 mins with you on the opposing team. To everyone else who may not know how to murder people with such efficiency I forgive you , but get with the program! Stop breaking my uplinks there will be 50 wp waiting for you in the time it takes me to spawn back in and drop another uplink! Sure you can chase the rest of my team all over the place and there will be some matches where I will be trying to kill someone , but if it looks like Im trying to give you WP stop making it harder on me! On a side note thank you to the guy in the blaster tank that sat patiently and waited for me to spawn and dance in front of your turret you sir knew what was up.

I shot him with 2 shots from my laser rifle fit(commando), and he turns around and BAM. Kills me instantly, before i even realised he was shooting me. Then, come again, shot him with 1 rail rifle round, we stare at each other, then start shooting wildly, he killed me with my RR ammo at 33. Turns out he had a dmg modded prof V rail rifle, and as a backup to that he had a Viziam. So sad. 'Sorry Dakka, they're just so... For the love of god, Format that monster. That thing is giving me headache. Nothing says "F**K YOU!" like a direct Flaylock to the face. I've got 3k likes, I'll double post if I want to dammit!

If you try too hard to just die, it won't work as planned. Just play your game because truthfully the only difference here is the time. The time it takes for the match expire and clones to be tallied. Other than that, 50 clones will expire in Ambush cause that's the point. Or 80. With objective games, it's about 80 or more. So just play the game, ya know? That's why CCP bumped it up. We get 1 mil clones killed or close pretty much every weekend. I've found when you try too hard, you often fail. I know when I play I want competitive matches and if I see teammates bending over then I'm more likely to leave. All your deaths won't make up for that one guy you disgusted into turning off the ps3. The most clones I've seen killed came from back and forth games. Had one match literally come down to 0 clones to 2. Everyone was fighting hard the entire time. These are the kind of matches I want to play in, fun and contribute more clone deaths than your dumb 30 deaths.
