What's the problem with those who go with their proto fits and tanks? Are we mad because they are contributing to the killed clone count? I just don't get it. If everybody is throwing pebbles at each other, it would take longer. Plus the event is about 2 million clones eliminated. So is the problem with you dying? Or is it about dying to proto fit? Or are you upset that you wanted a challenging match? If that's the case, don't you want to expire clones as quickly as possible to obtain 2 mil? Tell me I'm not the only one here.... Smart ppl are preparing for the future. Another good point. People are trying out proto fits they wouldn't chance at before but now will since they will more than likely use the refund to get into other suits. Tell me I'm not the only one here who is confused by these "you shouldn't wear proto during the event but MLT fits" argument cause I don't understand it all. Using proto just severely hurts the fun of the event. If you decide you need to run Proto I'll eventually run proto as well just so you stop stroking your epeen. What happens when everyone decides to run proto? And tanks are so ridiculously OP in the game, you are contributing no deaths because CCP absolutely caved to tankers and killed AV. Even more so when you decide to hide in the redline. No one is using the event to prepare for a respec, we all know exactly what we were going to spec regardless. You have to look at this objectively, really. I don't know who started the idea of MLT fits but honestly, if guys only had MLT fits it would A) take longer and B) guys would probably still get stomped but accept it more because they died to a MLT fit. The only thing about this event is time. 50 clones expired in Ambush is the point as well as 80. If you do objective games, you're going to kill more than either two Ambush games. The objective is 2 million clones, which the prototypes are helping by expiring those in the MLT fits quickly. I mean, that's why you guys chose MLT fits, right? To die quicker because you considered them weaker. What's the sense in everybody running MLT fits when we need to accumulate 2 mil clones expired? Mathematically it doesn't make sense. You need to have the protos out there to help increase the speed of acquiring the killed clone count. So I really don't get the sensibility in the argument of "oh noes prototypes are killing me" when that's what you want because you choose MLT fits because of their weakness, not because you wanted a challenging long drawn out match. You want to die quick and get clones tallied. Also like KGB stated, folks are either trying out suits because of the event and also could be trashing suits because of the event. But then they proto stomp so hilaiously badly, that people can't even finish unloading 1 plasma cannon shot (.45 seconds at max skills) without dying. What this leads to is 'oh ** this, rail rifle spam? Meet sniper spam' Which is obviously met by sniper tanks and rail rifles hitting 200m out, instgibbnf commando snipers who jump out of the MCC, and eventually just AFK. What this results in, is a final clone count of 75-90/130-145 That's AT MOST 75 clones lost. Half of 1 team. Whwreas if everyone's mlt stomping, nobody is going ' this gamex that damned Kaalakiota RR is raping us' Final clone counts hit 23/40 or a reasonable 60/70. Tl;dr all is not ***** fine, stop stroking others' E-Peens for them. Jesus christ, you guys are really lacking in the brain computing department Why are you guys complaining when you are dying for the purpose of the clone event???? Seriously! What's the difference if you die to a MLT and proto? Because he wore proto? Are you kidding me? That's the problem? You guys just whine about any or every little thing there is. Day in and day out.
