People still camp in the MCC and do nothing? It seems to have branched out now. Before it was just the MCC. Now it has spread to spawn stations around the map. So, good to know they are at least doing something different.
How, and I can't emphasis this enough, is this still a thing? It has immediately killed my interest in trying to get back into this game again. |

I saw an MCC camper once the other day, it was in FW so I let my HMG do the talking. Other than that I honestly can't remember the last time I've seen one. I also can't understand how that's the deciding factor in whether or not you play Dust. Is one or two MMC campers or AFKers every once in a while really ruining your play experience that much?

We had several campers in a couple matches earlier today. My entire squad had to literally carry the matches as the blueberries were too afraid to get involved. In one they hid on top of a tower with swarms, and in another some sat back in the MCC and redline and wouldn't come out.

Except it wasn't 1 or 2 people. The matches I played today were always, at least, 5 to 8. 3 in the MCC and the rest were peppered around the map sitting around spawn stations doing nothing. That isn't insignificant. Why would I bother playing when up to half the team doesn't want to ever bother? That really does ruin the experience. |

What server are you on? I went to Oceania with a squad and of the 3 matches I played, half the team was AFKing. I don#t generally see this tactic often in EU. Of course it still happens but it's not so prevelant as on Oc. It's more of an exception than a norm.

Ccp shanghai gonna Ccp shanghai.
Youd think they'd at least have an interior in the mcc. some bunks, windows, add a tv and a couch in the common area. Put a little camera drone you can fly around and watch the battle on the tv.
Add a little plant maybe, preferably a fern.

I am in Australia and I assume it prioritises me to Oceania. The default is, well, whatever the default is. I might change server regions. See if that helps. |

I still see many of them sometimes up to 6 per match, and some are simply idling deep in the redline... |

This was complained about a long time ago.
CCP said "we're working on a solution" and were immediately asked a wave of questions. People pointed out that a simple check on player activity can be circumvented by a piece of tape or a rubber band, and that a system like this wouldn't be a viable solution to the problem. Of course, instead of actually LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT, this information was ignored, and CCP implemented exactly the system we already knew would do precisely nothing.
As such, if you see AFKers, note down names, then report them using a support ticket on the dust514.com website. Make a point of mentioning that there are two problems - the AFKers themselves, and more importantly, the lack of competent anti-AFK measures.
There are measure intended to prevent players from AFK farming, and it's been directly stated by CCP that it's not an intended method of play. That makes it a violation of the terms of use for the game, and therefore a bannable offense. Enough reports about someone and CCP are likely to investigate the reported player. If they investigate and confirm a player is AFK farming, then they get warned, banned or deleted depending on the severity of their rule violations. And if it keeps happening, maybe CCP staff will get sick of having to deal with all the tickets and ACTUALLY LISTEN TO US to fix the problem competently. |

I believe that CCP is afraid. Were they to competently address the AFK issue and the character-rolling-for-ISK issue the concurrent players graph would take a significant hit, and the egg on CCP's face would get a little thicker. Interested third parties would have even more cause for concern, etc.
I don't think this would affect our match quequing much, since everybody who is playing now would be playing after these fixes to this mechanic abuse. My belief is some peeps would be encouraged by the news of said fixes and return to the game.
Whatever. My working theory is we won't see any changes until CCP is no longer afraid, if we ever reach that point at all.
I support SP rollover.

Feel free to share what map you're on along with the post timestamp next time. Might help CCP track you and identify the holes in their anti-AFK measures. |

Currently we are trying to get killed. We have to reach at least 1 million clones lost over the weekend to get shiny bonus SP. That's why people afk in the field.
