Before the event, and not during it? What's the reasoning behind the bonus SP only applying to people who boost before the starting downtime, instead of the ending downtime?

what's the difference if it's before or after?
they set a day for the boosters to be active and that's that.
any booster activated on wednesday ( the standard day to activate on ) would then run to friday which is when it is needed, if the event calced on sunday you'd of had the booster on and it would run out, or you'd have to put off playing on weds-thurs to get the full effect of the booster.
seems more practical the way it is. |

What difference does it make if it's activated the minute before the event starts, or the minute before the event ends?

I understand that at least that it really makes no difference if they do two checks, but it honestly comes off as nit picking their event, everyone should be able to activate by friday and was well informed prior to the event. |

I can't buy it till Friday 2-4pm EST.
I just don't see how it makes any difference. You still have to play to qualify for the bonus. It's not like activating it friday is any different than activating it sunday other than whatever random reason CCP has.
I don't know sometimes.

This has just been a very frustrating couple of days with this game. I honestly don't know why I bother sometimes.

Many thanks. I just saw Wangs post about checking fringe cases up to 11pm UTC today so if thats the case I should be ok, I just wont have the funds in my psn till 2-4pm EST today

Your booster just has to be active at some point today, even if it was activated early.

They said something about this on the forums, but said they want to let the goal be achieveable. So I guess we may or may not hear something about a stretch goal should we achieve the 1 million early.

That was my initial question / concern.
The only thing I can think of is that they have to put it into a script or something. I really think it would be better to just let people buy and activate boosters up until the event ends, but who knows.
I'm happy that when I buy and activate my booster a bit later today it will still qualify, but it's kind of a bummer to people who's schedules don't quite line up. If nothing else it would be nice for fringe cases to be able to email CCP to be included in the event once they've activated a booster.
