They said something about this on the forums, but said they want to let the goal be achieveable. So I guess we may or may not hear something about a stretch goal should we achieve the 1 million early.

So, by the time I get home from work on Friday, my time, it'll already be too late? Is there any reason the booster shouldn't be applicable any time during the weekend of the event?

That was my initial question / concern.
The only thing I can think of is that they have to put it into a script or something. I really think it would be better to just let people buy and activate boosters up until the event ends, but who knows.
I'm happy that when I buy and activate my booster a bit later today it will still qualify, but it's kind of a bummer to people who's schedules don't quite line up. If nothing else it would be nice for fringe cases to be able to email CCP to be included in the event once they've activated a booster.

Popped an Omega at about 9am this morning, so hopefully I'll be seeing 2million+ SP by the end of this event.
