The skill modifiers listed after the skills (4x, 8x, etc). How do they work?
Dammit Jim, I'm an artist, not a math whiz. I thought you just took the lvl 1 amount and multiplied that by the multiplier. It doesn't come out right. How do you calculate that.

Here's a chart that list all skill progressions
DUST 514 Skill Chart
Everything is based off the Level 1 numbers. Which are, from 1 to 5: 6,220 18,650 43,530 87,060 155,460.
Lets say you wanted to know how much a 8x skill cost at level two you'd simply take the base level two number and multiply it by 8, which is 149,200.

Thanks. This helps but, am I to assume that the base sp for each level of the 1x modifier skills is arbitrary?
I don't see how they're getting the numbers for level two (18,650) from the level one (6,220) unless using an odd calculation.

I did. I see that now at the bottom after I messed with the numbers. I didn't understand that at first.

Lol no that's if its a x1 multiplier. If its and x3 multiplier you'd multiply the second number by three to see what it would cost at level 2. The third number by 3 to see lvl three and so on |

What I mean is CCP just arbitrarily chose the beginning multiplier numbers it seems because it'd be an odd calculation otherwise.

If you divide each one by 6,220 and round up because they are all a couple hundreths away from being whole, you get: 1 3 7 14 25
I think the general idea is that the numbers were sort of picked out of thin air. The gist is that 1-4 costs the same as 4-5. |
