I think to a lot of people the soul you speak doesn't really matter as long as the gameplay is fun . For dust it has a potential of soul or does now , but not many people like or care about dust compared to the ones that do. I think it is possible for Respawn to expand on the campaign and potentially care more about the world then CCP can for dust , they already kinda did it with the campaign now albeit not in the best way although they have the money , people , marketing , and talent to do it . All they need to do is take the chance just like ccp can do . |

No core and it won't be enjoyed, simple.
Bf3 has more players than dust does and it came out in 2011 http://bf3stats.com/ ( could be wrong numbers ) and you can look on other FPS games on steam it has more players as well . It seems to me as long as the game is fun people still play it as long as they want. I don't think the OP's version of "soul" is required , but it helps. |

You really can't compare dust to something like BF3, and it doesn't matter if dust is fps in the main way. It is part of eve universe and it's inner thought and soul is very different than of any other fps games.
I can compare the numbers and since CCP wants dust as a AAA game it is fair to compare . Besides that isn't the point , the point is despite the fact that none of those mainstream games have no "soul" as stated by the OP and some people's opinion here but a game like Bf3 has more players playing a title that has very little updates and much older than dust still has more players playing titles me that a lot of people care about gameplay than the "soul" as describe by the OP. |
