I for one am waiting for some kind of Dust 514 Collectors Edition with Dust 514 on a BD. That should be one way to circumvent the rules.

Somehow I thought that skill certificate system would be ideal for achievements. And suddenly you forced achievement hunters to play this game for 7 years

What about the certificate system from EvE, too? Points for suit and weapon mastery?

This. Hey, if they put them in for some folks, thats cool. I'm just turning the notification off because I don't need it. Especially in Dust. From my perspective, its really not needed and turn it more into a arcade experience. I like that rawness about New Eden, ya know? Game feels more mature than others, in a sense.

I absolutely hate multiplayer trophies simple because you end up with a bunch of guys trying to get the trophies instead of trying to win the match The only game I can think of that did it ok was Tekken R and thats only because they were all easy to achieve and you could do it playing arcade mode
I'll start my own war, with hookers, and blackjack!
In fact forget the war and the blackjack.

If Sony has a policy of not offering them on F2P games, I think they could be implemented in Dust as part of a paid pack.
-ú20 for trophy support, and you get aurum items as rewards alongside the trophies. E.g. Bronze: "& personal" - 100 kills with a shotgun - 100 HK4Ms awarded.
Though personally I'd prefer it if they weren't weapon/suit specific.

Nobody tries to win matches anyway. They're all behind the redline or farming CRUs.

Maybe some Medals or Ribbons for weapons and equipment that give you skill points (maybe 5K for like 100 kills for the same weapon and 50K SP for 100 ribbons of that type, kinda?)

You guys play too much COD/BF. If we getting medals and ribbons, that would mean we are soldiers not mercenaries. Mercs shouldn't care about ribbons or medals because mercs are black market. They do what others cannot. The pride is in the pay, the work and the conquered. Not some medals and ribbons.

A valid point, I'll gladly take 100K ISK for 100 shotgun kills or something . You can use the concept of in game achievements in a merc sort of way. First of all we need a searchable merc profile. All your in game accomplishments would be listed there, call them commendations or something. Thus lets say I had commendation for X amount of kills with gallente scout and one for X amount of clones revived, X amount of damage repaired, etc...
If I apply to some corporation they can search my record and along with my employment record they could see what commendations one has and get a picture of what you like to run and a small glimpse into the style of game I play. It would also show faction standing, KDR, and whatever stats the community and devs think is pertinent.

Really? When I went for trophys (back in the day) they used to make the game boring after a while... If they are implemented I wont be going for them, but just for everyone else sake I'd like to suggest not making any horribly grindy/repetative ones.
