With Grenades ammo dropping down to 2, AV Nades takes yet another nerf and Core spam is deterred, especially since Heavies resist them and Nanohives took a nerf. The Damage Mod nerf and Rifle nerf means that you might need to weaken targets before finishing them, especially against multiple opponents. Lastly, the Weapon Proficiency changes means most weapons in the game will have a bad match-up against shields.
The Flux nade is the most reliable grenade out of the 3 available. Useful against vehicles and Infantry, the time needed before detonation is smaller than the Core, and the blast is more reliable as well, since getting touched by the blast is the same as taking it to the face. There are no resistances to the Grenade, and since most weapons in the game are armor+ most will benefit from the Grenade.
Due to the changes in 1.8, could we see a surge in Flux Grenade usage? |

Makes sense to me, you see them quite often anyway for killing equipment, giving them more uses certainly wont decrease their numbers that is for sure. |

The Flux grenade has always been there. People recently started using them. (Beginning of January or so?)

I have always been a fan of flux nades and have been using them regularly from the beginning (over a year ago now).
They are a bit of a pain in FW though as you can easily wipe out allied shields and equipment without intending too. |

Be careful using one on a cal heavy. Depleting his shields gives him a 1 sec delay over 4, and I've seen some fits have >100hp/ sec. You might be doing him a favor.

The old tactic of fluxing someone and following up with the MD will be more effective than it ever has been, with the caldari heavy I think it will be very effective. It just had not been currently because of the short TTK, with a longer one I can hopefully be more maneuverable before they can put alot of damage on me.
