I create alternate characters when I want to test something, or when I'm teaching someone I know how to play DUST; however, I don't transfer the clone's ISK into my main once I'm finished with it.
Is that a bannable offense?

No.
You can have three characters on one account with no problems whatsoever. Use 'em as you please. However, CCP recently changed their EULA to state that any one person can only have one DUST514 account, and any other ones will be deleted at CCP's discretion.
Not sure if they're every going to actually go about doing that... but the wording is there.

This may only be for forum Alts...that'd be stupid to do for in game I know a lot of people who have in game Alts with 20+m sp
