As I point out in this detailed video, swarms do not seem to be applying damage correctly. The base damage is lower then the patch notes imply. Base seems to be 156 not 220. And it would appear that amour hardeners are blocking either 60% of the damage, or the 20% bonus damage to amour is not being applied. It could also be that the shield resist is being applied when there are no shields. All of these would have the same effect on damage.

After seeing that video it makes me wonder if the optimal range and effective range have something to do with damage deteriorating, maybe if you could make a video from the AV perspective.

Its really tricky to work it out as it could be the armour resisting too much, the shields still acting even though they are gone. explosive bonus damage against armour not being applied...many things. At this point I think the devs need to use some debug to step through the code and check the rules.
As far as I know there is not supposed to be damage deterioration..... but it could be. However if armour resists 60%, not the supposed 40% then then numbers work out perfectly. So this pushes me away from a falloff damage cause of the issue. No matter what, I just cannot get base damage anywhere near the stated 220 unless I am making a big mistake in my calculations.

You could perhaps find something in the dust database about this?

Sorry mate
After 400 views people were confused over the dropships seeming 43% swarm damage resistencia. I need to redo the video to make sure I was as clear as I could be.

If swarms really aren't doing as much damage as they should against armor, then I think fixing it will put swarms in a much better place to swarm users' delight.
