I am fleeing my Caldari Assault like I'm running out of a nuclear wasteland. That thing is going to be a POS after this patch. Goin Amarr logi for links and either Gallente logi for scans or Gallente scout for infiltration/assassination.

honestly i haven't thought about which assault suit to use, none of them really leap out at me as amazing.
That's the way it should be, balanced. No suit, no bonus, no racial ability should give it a distinct advantage over any other without an appropriate countermeasure.

It's weird because the logi suit only got a buff if your planning to use it as a slayer logi; anyone intending to use it as a logi got nerfed to the ground to the point that even with the bonuses the suits give, most equipment tiers the suit specializes in will be completely useless.

And that's only if you're a cal logi, other wise it seems slayer logistics are substantially weaker.
If you don't understand politics or pulling triggers, I have no use for you.

I'm speccing Caldari suits because I love the speed you get from shield tanking, the naturally regenerative tank, and the ability to outrange most opponents with a rail rifle and get a bonus for using it. Others will prefer Minmatar's natural speed, preference toward shield (but not totally leaving armor out) tanking, hacking bonuses, etc. Some players will like Gallente's armor healing and scan bonuses, while the rest will prefer Amarr's heavy brick tanks, laser weaponry and increased sprint times.
Dust is finally evolving into a rich game that it deserves to be. It's got a long way to go, but it's getting there. Pick what style you like, what "brand" of the universe you prefer that each race offers. Once you pick that, you'll be infinitely happier playing the game, because its in a style you like. Chasing the FOTM will only result in you spending all your time chasing and no time enjoying.
