It's got some very slight modifications. It also has the Dropsuit Command refund announcement, so there is that...

I'll admit that's something that wasn't info that was publicly available but everyone knew it was going to happen. Though feel a full infantry respec is what they should have done but I'm not surprised with CCP making such an asinine choice, it's a habit of theirs.

Looks like I have to keep the 8 million sp (out of the 10 mil I have ) in weapons... I don't even use the assault rifle, rail rifle, or combat rifle anymore... why do I still have lvl 4 in them...
Sees prototompers...
Sees blueberries start to snipe...
Pulls out commando suit with laser rifle and swarm launcher...

The early releases of information, being mostly via blue posts, was tentative for feedback. The dev blog is the official "here's what's in 1.8". Sure, it's nothing shocking, but the dev blogs will demonstrate any final revisions to the patch, and tell us what we need to actually prep to handle when the patch drops.

You make it sound like the changes in the dev blog to what was discussed on the forum are significant but they aren't. It certainly hasn't changed my plans for after 1.8.
