The fit i used was a Militia Heavy Suit - Republic Basic HMG.
I used nothing but this suit for 2 weeks so i don't understand how I only got forge guns and 118k sp. I'm sure I read previously that to qualify you had to be wearing either a basic or sentinel suit - my guess is that anyone wearing a bpo or militia will get nothing despite the weapon used. I used sentinel and basic suits with boundless, mh-82's and six kins hmgs - so I'm expecting a big reward when I log in next.
BPOs do count, just so you know.

I re-read the OP and saw the edit, either the Torchflare KK Forge Gun or the Steelmine Boundless HMG. Is it 300 total FG and HMG or 300 FG and 300 HMG?
You can earn up to 300 HMG and FG each during the event.
