Also, you forgot to mention how the tank is invulnerable to small arms fire. IT IS OP, just that the Rail is even more OP.
12 Av nades against a tank. 12 forge guns against a tank. Or even 6 proto AV nades against a tank. Or 6 people with 3 proto proximity explosives each.
Even if i was out on foot, they would still face me as a group. So the numbers a irrelevant. Its not like they would sit around waiting their turn while I fought them 1vs1.
And what would you consider small arms fire? I have killed/lost more tanks due to infantry AV then I killed/lost tanks to enemy heavy turrets. Does the forge guns count? Cause those things pack a serious punch.

Afraid? What fear is there to be had in a video game? Has everything to do with costs. Tanks can rack up WP pretty fast and can reduce the amount of clones lost, therefore increasing profit. |

At least the forge gun has a charge time for it's damage, not that screwy I've charged my 2 second shot now I get to spam it twice every second with 0 recoil.

Clearly you aren't a pilot then, because if you were then you'd know barely any of the maps have anything you can really hide behind, most of which are so low that you might as well recall and go in on foot, or heck just grab a tank since it's so much more powerful & tanky & speedy & accurate & **** easy to use...
As someone who's started using these tanks to kill other tanks, all I can say is you can easily lock down half the map from the red zone... If I move to the other side of the map (along the edge where it's nice and safe, because no one comes to bother you) then you've got the whole map secured for your team as no one can call anything in.
& yes the turret is **** easy to use, no matter how fast something is moving you can just offset the turrets slow turn speed by turning your damn tank around with it... Even at max range the **** is an easy kill, so don't throw this bullshit around that it's my fault if I get shot down by this crap, I should have been out of it's sight, well the only way to be out of it's sight is to recall and not bother! |

So lets see here 1) tank players think they should be 100% untouchable by infantry 2) tank players whine until they get exactly what they want 3) said scrubs (if you need meter thick armor plates to make up for your lack of gun game your a scrub) start to farm infantry with blasters 4) someone discovers a militia fit rail tank is the best weapon to counter tanks (remember tankers you wanted this, the counter for a tank should be another tank) I don't see tanker's problem here, you wanted tanks to be the only viable method of killing tanks, well rail tanks with damage mods are the only viable way of killing tanks, so you got what you wanted. |

But yeah, totally, that's exactly what I wanted, tanks being untouchable by infantry
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

Not you in particular cat, but many of the "top teir" tankers that actually left because of these changes were screaming for them all day and night on the forums. |

Playing ambush to get through my ten matches, tanks just ruin the whole game mode. I'd like to think it's worse then normal because of the event but some how I doubt it.
CCP you better nail 1.8, as it stands 1.7 is a total disaster.

The redline is the problem. Fix the redline. Nerfing rails will lead to Nerfing blaster tanks will lead to Nerfing Dropships.

Well... until CCP makes any confirmation to changes to maps and/or the redline, rails really should be nerfed. As a pilot, it's just too damn infuriating. Forges do wonders by the way, against dropships and tanks. There won't be a need to nerfing anything other than the damn rail. |

They weren't so much of a problem then, just annoying. Rail installations were OP and still are. I was dying back then to swarms and forge guns. Now, before I even get close to infantry, my ship is already falling in a ball of fire. Thank you CCP... that really crushed what I hoped to being able to fly more often without losing millions upon millions... upon millions of isk. |

Ok I was wondering because I don't remember the redline Tanks being a problem pre swarm/av nerf.
