[rant]Does our feedback and opinion not matter? Are you incapable of listening to us? Why do we even bother using the forums if the only way for you to even acknowledge our feedback / concern is through the CPM, which isn't even a reliable source because the only way to get even the tiniest droplet of relevant information out of them is to go on a goose hunt through Skype or pray that they are on IRC, which is an unofficial source that is not moderated by CCP. There is no "hey go visit IRC" or "Contact us on Skype" messages of any kind on these forums or in-game, so why do you expect they community to use this method?
What about that whole hype machine you set up about CCP Rouge? Didn't you say that under his command things would be changing, and how CCP would be more open about things such as feedback? What happened to that? You pulled literally the exact same thing you said was going to change:
1. Announce huge thing that changes DUST 514 as we know.
2. The playerbase points out all of the problems with your changes with truckloads of detailed arguments and posts.
3. You do little to nothing about it, and then release the changes anyways.
I will admit though. You did have the playerbase fooled quite well with that official respec thread you created. It actually put us under the illusion that our feedback, suggestions, and opinions were actually worth something in your development process this time.
Do you not realize the opportunity you missed here? You had the chance to change the public's image of CCP. If you gave a full respec, Tranquility would have been flooded with returning veterans and players, just waiting to throw cash at you. But instead, you had to go with your unprofessional, illogical, and unconventional development process that ensures that very few (if any) gamers will ever take you seriously.
And they you expect your criticism to be constructive? Why would anyone waste their time providing constructive any kind of feedback when they know for a fact that they won't be granted anything other than a threadlock? I've got a tip for you. If your going to expect people to stop spamming a topic and/or opening ideas in the wrong section; actually reply to the thread that was created. Even a simple "we're looking into it", "no", or even a freaking SoonGäó would suffice.
I will however, give credit where it's due. Even though you guys usually fail to reply or respond to constructive or relevant threads with anything that doesn't involve a thread being locked or moved, you do manage to joke around and respond to joke and troll threads that hold no significance with ease.
You know a group of developers are incompetent when their playerbase can literally scream at them, and they do almost nothing to solve the problem.

I know this thread will end up being locked, but It's either I vent my frustration out on the forums, or I take it out on whatever adorable animal that happens to be within reaching distance of me.

Super disappointed at only dropsuit respec.
I was really hoping to ditch my forgegun SP, because really; no damage mods and no bonus shield damage? I've got large missiles to kill armour.

i believe it is beyond their control-once they submit a patch to Sony, they can't edit it. At least that is my understanding. Im sure they will try to incorporate community ideas in 1.9 or a hot fix which will probably come in 1.8, however, i am fairly certain that CCP is not at fault and it is mainly the bureaucratic system that Sony has in place that hinders development releases.

A dropsuit command is better than nothing. Community (including me) wanted a full infantry respec, CCP wanted to avoid a respec, and the result is a compromise. The SP from the Mauler event and Million Clone Challenge should definitely make it easier to get the necessary skills for weapons and dropsuit upgrades.
There is a difference between ignoring the community, and just not doing what the community wants. If they really ignored us, there would be no respec at all.
While I disagree with them only doing a dropsuit respec, I can see why they did it. It is to help players in one role change to new suits within that same role that wasn't previously available, its not there for people to completely and easily change their roles.
