With this layout the Amarr scout can have the best HP and a very good DMG out-put Personally I think everyone is fussing over nothing.... The Amarr Scout will fulfill a combat role, like the Matari Scout Without the disadvantage of lacking low slots for speed/dampening/repair/armour And still having 2 high slots, to enhance DMG or HP
Depending on Matari scout layout, I'm strongly considering the Amarr As I feel it will have more advantages than the suicidal Matari equivalent And may benefit from cloaking more than the Matari as the lows slots on Amarr Can be used to buff overall fitting cost.... You people are crazy
Amarr scout will be a 'slayer' scout, once player-base realizes that Boom! FOTM

You mean the Amarr Light Assault suit? Its bonus, while nice, is still underwhelming, like the Caldari Assault and Gallente Assault.

The Amarr Light/Scout suit yes... The bonus gets criticized but it's going to be awesome Sprinting to multiple objectives without stopping for breath

I get that. With Biotics to 5, you have like 288,75 stamina, and if the Role bonus goes off that, you end up with 360.9375 (if it doesn't multiple like that, maybe 357.5). Which, no matter how CCP math works, is a long time sprinting. But, at Biotics 5, no Kin Cats, you only run at about 7.72 m/s, which isn't the greatest. Though, a marathon could be quite fun.
I'm going to wait a few days while I weigh out the communities' response to each Scout suit before I pick.
The Minmatar for my love of hacking fast and getting out of Dodge. The Gallente because I have 4 BPOs and the innate armor rep means I could actually defend an objective for a little bit. The Amarr for more bulk and so I can run forever (I will run Complex Kin Cats and Cardiac Regs). The Caldari.. no...

Dude again and I have pointed this out several times. The Gallente scout can do all of what the Amarr scout can do and more, with better bonuses and a 37 less HP total, not to mention the innate +3 Armour per sec regen, bonus to dampening, secondary racial bonus.
However you expect the Amarr scout to fit a combat role when the suit frame is designed to be a fast moving mobile Scout?
I understand the concept of Force Recon..... but hell the Gal Scout can do that better than the Amarr suit can and still be a scout.

I disagree when it comes to the Amarr scout. At level 5 it will be like a basic mod compared the the other suits bonuses which are equal to that of a complex mod. Plus we still don't know if we can run while cloaked yet |

Guys fyi min scout can sprint just as far as Amarr and it gets there faster and it moves faster in between sprinting.
Sooo.. Basically you've got a subpar scout because you lose 1 low to a complex profile damp (or 2 lows if you choose not to cloak), then you lose a low to either a rep or basic reactive (it would be dumb to run a scout with no ability to sustain itself) leaving you with 2 lows to try and either catch up with min's mobility (hint: you won't) or with the gal scout's scanning or ehp ability (hint: you won't). you're even with gal scout in highs, but its role bonus lets it dodge most scans with just a cloak and it has built in reps, so its 4 lows are much more free than yrs. Min has 3 highs so if you want a speed tank min can beat yr speed and match ehp with 70% of that ehp in fast regenning shields.

I'm gonna skill into every scout but the Amarr :)
It simply doesn't seem to have a role that I can't do better with different fits on the other suits. |

I also believe gal scout will be marginally better than amarr. The difference is very small.

Agreed, I've been building/going over excel spreadsheets so much that my eyes bleed, trying to predict the Flavor of the build come 1.8GǪ
Too much is changing for my poor analytical skills to make more than a guess at that. There is just no way for my poor skills to do better until after 1.8 hits and the period of 'new shininess' wears offGǪ
Although, personally I do think that many players are underestimating all of the new bonusesGǪ

******* HELL NO IT ISN'T!!!!!!!!! The minmatar at basic has 60/s regain fair for a scout that already has an intended role and then just goes and poops on anothers scout (wanna be assault) role I think not.... go ahead go look at the new DEV blog tell me whats good about that wanna be gallente scout suit.
