The AR is far from "one of the worst weapons".
Being worse than CRs and RRs doesn't make it a bad gun. Its still the 3rd/4th (tied with ScR) best weapon in the game.
It was OP in 1.6, it then got a range buff in 1.7, it is still OP. Just not as OP as other things.
5 Best Weapons:
1.) Scrambler Pistol
2.) Rail Rifle
3.) Combat Rifle
4.) Assault Rifle/Scrambler Rifle
5.) Assault Rifle/Scrambler Rifle

the tactical and burst variants got a buff in 1.7. the regular variant did not. it got a distance nerf. and they wer only OP in 1.6 because of the OP aim-assist. it was almost identical to an aimbot.
