So they over nerfed them. Now they need a buff again :(

Shield buffer all the way. It used to mean something when interposing yourself between hostile fire to protect the person being needled meant something. That already feels like ages ago. At the enhanced levels and my one high-slot sentinel I generally preferred the extender over the damage mod. Once Complex Damage Mods were unlocked I used those and never looked back. My Minja Alt doesn't because of the Nova Knives. Here, have some candy and a Like. :-) Forums > Game

Although I have been converted, and now fight the rusty minmatar in the hopes that one day, we restore them to their rightful place, faithfully serving their amarrian masters... PS, still running nothing but shields.... Sees prototompers... Sees blueberries start to snipe... Pulls out commando suit with laser rifle and swarm launcher...

If you're planning on getting shot alot, a shield extender is obviously the better option for anyone but a heavy (because maths) or a commando (because lolmando). But in cases of snipers, AV, or someone who relies on surprise attacks, a damage mod is going to suit your strategy far more. No.
