Inspired by Blind Cat's thread

Curiosity about just what can get a headshot.
Now I can get a Headshot with just about any gun I've used, somethings I have either never gotten a GONG on though

As far as getting the satisfying Cowbell These are weapons I have used and gotten the satisfying noise with.
Scrambler Pistol ~ Can't get enough of that Cowbell happens all the time
Scrambler Rifle ~ Cowbell So easily
Sniper Rifle ~ Probably the most common Cowbell (but I don't use it often anymore )
Shotgun ~ Ka Tunk Cowbell
AR ~ Barely used but Cowbell
CR ~ Cowbell
RR ~ Cowbell (Also barely used I hate the sound of it)
SMG ~ Oh yeah, Hear that Cowbell

Like Hippies these are on my list of questionable
Never hear the bell but use:

Nova Knife ~ I use them A LOT never hear it even lined up perfectly on oblivious targets
Plasma Canon ~ Don't know if you can
Mass Driver ~ Used it a lot never got a Cowbell
Flaylock ~ Damn sure I have hit people in the face with this but never recall hearing a cowbell
Grenades ~ Don't think they count?


So it seems Splash damage weapons don't headshot? Do they get the multiplier? NKs as usual end up being a special case.

Can anyone confirm that these get headshots?

i can get the damage modifyer for a "headshot" with knives but no extra points or gong.

its not a true headshot, its just that shooting someone in the face has a better efficiancy rating (dmg multiplyer)

I wonder if I could get a "cowbell" with my Swarm Launcher...

with a forge gun =)

Surprised that grenades do give headshots, I mostly use Flux.

Good to know, betting the HMG does as well.

You just made me remember that glitch where you could kill people with a Flux Grenade
