Take a bit of your time and watch this all the way through. Forget the sub-par graphics and the occasional frame-drop, and just look at things like how the character moves, the way the HUD responds to movement, and how the weapons look as they fire.
Also take some time to listen to the sound of your character's movement, and the sound of the weapons and other aspects of the environment.
In the case of these elements, the love we profess is NOT just nostalgia. Look at this footage and tell me that many aspects of it aren't better than what we have now.

Rouge has had a very strong influence i had a good chat with one of the ccp guys on friday and it seems rouge hit the deck running while throwing the old captins cabin so to speak. Im still not 100% in rouge but the staff are behind him 100% so im intrested to what he has done to improve moral

Rouge had to deal with battlefield EA players he knows fourms and shooter fans give garabage feedback i doubt if he is who i think he is ever encouter the wrong feedback getting through the mob will more likely be used as a pain map rather than feedback

Let me help you out Replication and early closed beta had much higher ehp and potential weapons damage. Now add in all the random hit detection and you get a skewed higher time to kill. One of the issues I always found was that if you went for head shots you killed super fast if you actually connected(which i wasn't good at). Players like proto, omni, zitro, and others that only went for head shots and just destroyed people (like me actually). So what you assume proto and other are wanting super fast ttk like cod it was actually them asking that you dont dumb down dust. aka reward skill. We all know that the dust players base in general has a really low skill level. So in general the majority if qq about stuff is simply because players are bad at dust, bad at fps games in general, and have some sort of entitlement of being good. I remember people telling protoman that his 6ish kdr in closed beta was going away come open and release when better players showed up. Pretty sure that didn't happen to anyone because it was just an influx of more bad players. I mean my best kdr as a slayer in closed beta was 3.3 and my highest I had my kdr as a logi in uprising was like 6.8 (yes I said logi and yes regnum still yelled at me all the time for letting him die) So the long short is dont let your dislike for protoman fog your preception of what really went on and whats players motivations really were. Also protoman is playing FF14 now so we should all make fun of him for play lowering himself to a tabtarget game :-)

i do openly have a dislike for yourself for what happend in end with the imperfects but thats not for here.
you guys declared war on the community if thats what you guys where trying to do you guys epicly failed in all your trolling and got completely the wrong message across and that is on you guys. i dont have selective memory you have rose tinted glasses on how you guys where trying to be misunderstood villeins of the game and where just trying to help when in fact in the end you guys where just being dicks and shouted down ANYONE including your own if they disagreed with you, which meant none of you where taken seriously, i do hope if you guys come back we can get the band back together but this time i hope you all chillout a little :P
for sure i know protoman zitros and ragnum and all others really do care about this game but the way you went about it did far more damage this community and the game itself than any befit you gave. the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
i respect you beers we just have completely different views on how about to go about the same task :D

I'm not talking forum **** talk or epic dust raging I'm talking you took dust, imps, and yourself way-too-seriously. By that you are the one that choose to view things with rose colored glasses here.
