Are they getting a damage decrease too? Right now the HMG is perfect, and I mean absolutely perfect, but with all the rifles getting a damage nerf will HMGs also be getting a reduction? If they don't this game will be so imbalanced... I have a proto heavy alt, and man, he rips people up... if they dont change it this game will become HMG514.

No nerf for HMG means a bit of a relative buff against the assault weapons which are getting nerfed.
That said, every single heavy I know is running damage mods which are getting hit pretty hard, so there's that. |

HMGs are not getting a damage nerf, which I believe is a problem, but we'll see how big of one soon enough. Leadfoot10 is right that most HMG users rely on damage mods now, which could be seen as an indirect nerf.

HoweverI believe that the damage mod Nerf is enough to keep hmgs balanced since heavies/sentinels had no other reasonable mod to put in their high slots.

I was trying to find some line of logic for HMGs to not be too powerful for their own good...

The very short range may help keep them from being OP. I mean, even the AR can outrange them pretty bad.

Damage mods are getting a nerf and the HMG Prof will only boost armor damage. Those are enough of a nerf for it I think. |

Hmg will be a bit less effective due to the nerf to damage mods. Luckily for rifle users, their weapons will still allow them to sit back and laugh while their fat target tries to speed waddle to get into effective range (or hide).

Well technically the prof is getting nerfed on all the weapons that includes the HMG, all the other suits just have to worry about the massive HP they will all have.
