I've never really used then until now, and in their current incarnation they're super fun. Sneaking up on something and gibbing it is hilarious. I'm considering 2x dam 1x nitro for maximum gank; should be fun, if, perhaps, less effective.
But I keep running into hardened shield tanks, and there is literally nothing I can do about them except wait. With a damage mod I can just kill a hardened Maddy, but shields are unkillable.
I was wondering why exactly this was, and I started testing my damage against turrets and other installations.
It turns out that Large Missile Turrets, like Large Railgun Turrets, have the wrong damage profile. Rail guns still deal blaster type damage for no good reason, but missiles still have the old explosive damage profile of 135/70.
Fixing this would, I think, increase dramatically the utility of missile tanks. (On the flip side, it'd be very hard to kill armour tanks in one volley, so I'm not sure what to think).

Proto Missiles and 1x Damage Mod
Yeah, I've resorted to dealing with those by popping nitrous and outmanoeuvring them.

The extra mod is mainly to give myself some slack when aiming; one miss is incredibly punishing thanks to the implausibly long reloads.
Like I said, I don't think that fixing the profiles will allow me to gib dual hardened shields, but it'll help in general versatility.
And also give armour tankers less reason to QQ when they get insta'd.

I'd probably need to hit them with my entire capacity to kill them. Double hardeners are a bit OP; I've been saying this since near the beginning. I would prefer a slightly shorter reload time, too. As it is if I pop a damage mod I'm likely to get off only one effective volley, which is not enough to kill. I imagine that missile Gunnlogis are the shotgun scouts of tanking, with all that that implies.

I would want to be able to change types mid battle; as it is there is literally no reason to use missiles over a rail or blasters except entertainment.
That said, though, I do like this idea.
