Why would the Caldari Assault only get 30hp/s?
Caldari Heavy gets 30hp/s. Caldari scout gets 50hp/s.
I see no logical reason as to why the assault would not get something inbetween.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

I won't be able to evaluate this till I can encounter it in combat. There are too many things changing to debunk a single item or another by itself.
If you can read this, it means you are reading.

Scouts need to regen fast if hit and they get away. Cal Scouts are to be the Inflitrators, using cloaks to seek in hack, and then run. Shields are very week in this game. Caldari Heavies will be under constant threat from Flux Grenades and other weapons, so they need to regen very quickly. The Caldari Assault is to be on the frontlines, have no more than about 500 shields, but the player is more conservative, and will fall back if hurt. Having 40 Reps/s would mean I could bring you down 200 shields, you run behind a corner, by the time I hit it you are back to full shields.
Just my theory. But I agree with the second poster; too much is changing to make an really judgement now. I just do not look forward to that Cal heavy...
IDGAF who you are. You shot at my Corp, now I WILL kill you. Only question is: Will you fight back?

Well from what I've been told, the main role of the assault class is to be a constant, constant force of pressure against the opposing enemy. To me, it sounds like regeneration should be one of the more appealing aspects of the assault class if this is their role.
As it stands now, if my shields were to be taken out (which happens lightning fast) it could take up to 16+ seconds before I'm back in fighting condition again (caldari assault). 16 seconds is a long damn time for a class that suppose to be a "constant barrage of offense" in my opinion. As you suggested, if they flipped the logi and assaults recovery wait times, and upped the shield recharge rate to 40, the caldari assault would find it's proper place amongst it's peers. As well as fall in line with the supposed role of the assault class. I don't even think they'd have to change the slot layouts or PG/CPU after that.
To bad they done ran out of time before they could take a better look at us lil' old medium suits . It will be interesting to be considered the bottom tier suit in the game for once. I want to see if fellow assaulters will step up with me, or go fotm until the mediums suits are adjusted. |

And what kind of twisted logic makes you think that having lower shield recharge delays on Logistics is a good idea
And who says you're only trying to call out Gallente issues?
No but seriously.
My only argument for the Caldari Assault getting 30 hp/s is that it's in between a Heavy and Scout and thus more versatile.
Scout needs high regen because they're much thinner. They're the literal hit and run class. Heavies don't need as much regen of course since they have resistance and plenty of eHP. The Assault is in between with a focus on more mobility than the heavy and more duration than the scout. These assaults are better for staying in confrontation while also being good at responding to situations. That's my argument, although giving them 40hp/s wouldn't bring much of an issue either, imo. Maybe balance wise, it would put them in the lead over the Gallente(who have 2hp/s for Assaults I believe).
Also, I would think that Logistics would still have more slots to allow them to get a shorter recharge delay than other suits but...I don't even know.
