The AR takes the LEAST amount of sp's to max out the skill tree. ROF buff not needed weapon is finally going to be closer to where it should be, the bottom of the heap.
Now if only we could get the HMG and forge more of a boost given how much of a sp sink it is just to skill into those! |

No, it doesn't. The only difference MIGHT be light weapon operation but it's hardly the only one requiring it at 3 and the difference is marginal. Quote:

Oh yes, it's going to the bottom of the heap. Why should it be there? The reason is not SP, because the difference is so marginal if it even exists (which it doesn't, in many cases).  Considering the HMG is going to be pretty much de facto the most powerful infantry weapon in 1.8 and heavies are going to be spammed left, right and centre I don't think you have to worry about that.
the AR does indeed require the LEAST amount of SP to use the weapon. I am not sure if it is the only weapon but it is one of very few that only requires weapon operation 1. |

In all honesty i hope to fill buckets with the tears of everyone using a AR. For far too long this weapon has been the master of nearly every range short of sniper. It was such a good weapon that i skilled into it to proto level so i could truly melt face with my heavy suit and it worked amazingly well.
I won't feel bad at all if it is outclassed by literally every weapon even pistols you all had it coming just like the flaylocks and the TAK AR. |

You're completely right. That should absolutely mean that the weapon should be trash.
Darn right dont want to spend the sp you dont get the kills. Thats what this whole game is based on isn't it? Getting SP to get better gear to get an advantage on the bf. If there was no reason to skill into better gear we would all be running around in militia gear and have no reason to spend any isk or even gain sp's. |

Wow because CCP introduced it as the only rifle in beta that means we should forever gimp it with the mark of shame like God did to Cain. First OP weapon, forever gimped.
What you havent aquired enough sp's since beta to get something that isnt crap? |
