Give it up. Literally all they had to do was take 15-20% damage off of the swarms and av nades and fix blaster hit detection and it'd be fine, but no, they had to go and do the entire "rebalance" thing, and now is it really balanced... is it? Or, perhaps it would be best to simply have Tanks EXACTLY like 1.6 and prior, with these slashed costs.
In pubs they were fine, and in PC i can't imagine that they had no impact. Maybe just nurf the AV grenades, and balance the Armor v. Shield tanks, and boom. God enough.
I'd much rather have a somewhat easy to counter tank then tanks that require tanks to kill.

Give it up. And current large missile turrets, current shield boosters, and current hardener durations. Don't forget that shield tanks and large missiles were UP pre-1.7 I know, but Whats worse, having tanks be "tots OP" and getting smashed into the ground, or getting our old way back, and being able to balance it off that?

Give it up. I liked 1.6 everything about tanks. It was a skill back then. Not just a crutch to a build. But of course, I was called stupid when I said the 1.7 tank buff / AV nerf was a terrible idea. We're going into 1.8 and we are still complaining about tank issues (although not nearly as much) and I have a feeling 1.8 will make it even worse with the damage mod nerf which finally crush AV out of the picture once and for all. Buffing tanks/nerfing AV wasn't a terrible idea, CCP just completely screwed it up. Swarms were horribly broken and need about 10% damage off, as did AV nades, and shield tanks needed to be able to compete with armor tanks(longer hardener duration?). I think boosters needed a buff, and of course swarms and nades.
This overhaul did much more harm then good in my opinion.
HAVs just needed a price slash to make them good enough to be left for a patch or two, but they decided to go overkill and ended up breaking it. Severely.
