This applies to all of the weapons being nerfed in 1.8 except from the SMG. The new proto version of the SMG will deal .1 HP more damage than the current standard SMG. Just thought I'd point this out to those who didn't notice it, as this is certainly a good way to estimate what the TTK will feel like in 1.8 without actually playing it.

Badicly the academy, the ttk is too short there...

Last time I checked, knives have improved over time. Don't forget, unlike the rest of the weapons, the nova knives will now become the only weapon to have its proficiency skill book apply bonus damage equally to both shield and armor. Fear the knives.

Pfff.......Heavies are nothing and will continue to be NOTHING after 1.8. I'll kill them with 7 shots of my shotgun post 1.8, and that'll be the end of that (sarcasm). |

Did you know it would have had the lowest DPS of all the rifles with post-nerf stats even if it kept its current stats unnerfed?
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

CCP honestly needs to remove it. Aside from the variance in shield damage bonuses and the RR's charge time, the breach AR and RR are essentially the same thing. I'd say something similar for the TAR/ScR, but they have much more significant differences.
