Personally i welcome the new damage nerf, except to the AR which is decimated at every range pre-nerf.
People that QQ about damage mods don't care about "balance" they care about their KDR and 1-3 shotting people, noobs in particular. Also,ScR QQ? Really? Umad your losing you 1-2 shot killing ability? "but waaah duh overheat" whatever yo.
IMHO heavies should be feared as death on legs, and scouts should be sneaky. Which will happen in 1.8. As for assaults still QQing about logis.... Did you even read the stat changes for them? Assaults have higher speed AND shield/armor base stats. Yet you bafoons QQ about not having the most slots. As a logi,my responsibility lies in support,as in i have to charge through enemies fire while often not firing back....OBVIOUSLY i need the ability to have more flexible fittings to accomplish my MANY (rez, refill, rep, scan) tasks while a battle is going on,and support the maximum amount of allies possible.
So,compare the many things logis have to do Vs the ONE thing you have to do. That one thing is killing. Now,which needs more slots? The one darting around the battlefield aiding as many allies as possible to keep them in the fight,or the one that has to shoot at enemies and focus on themselves? Exactly. Oh,and if you STILL think assaults need more slots.... Get a logi suit from the LP store, give it full eq available from the loyalty store, make sure one of your eq is the rep tool, and an injector. (not hives, nanos and scanner that's a slayer fit)
Now, use that rep tool, and injector fitted suit and go play a round. As an assault you will probably get most of your WP by killing, which means you've failed. For a true logi experience, treat your rep tool as if it were your main weapon, and let others do the killing... I must warn you:You'll probably notice that as soon as someone sees a rep tool in action you'll become the only target.
Now, you understand the true logi.

Heavies shouldnt be walking death for the simple reason that requiring more than one person to kill one other person not based on anyones individual skill but rather because they bought a different suit is bad game design, look at tanks for a direct ******* comparison And the logi problem is real simple, why skill into this one suit when I can choose another that does everything the first does and more As a front line logi survivability is obviously important but you also shouldnt just be a brick, lets look at TF2 as an example The Medic doesnt have health comparable to the Heavy so he cant just tank damage and instead his survivability comes from his teamwork ability and encouraging teammates to keep him alive due to his usefulness IE a good logi doesnt need tons of EHP to survive since if doing his job well his teammates will protect him
Granted that all breaks down if your teammates are **** but applies to any team based game

I detect QQ, heavies should totally be better than standard infantry, thats why their heavies and move slower than tectonic plates.

The only "logi problem" is that CCP listens to idiots like you. You refuse to even try playing as a true logi before proving your ignorance by posting such tripe. Go out and follow my suggestion in the OP,and learn how much of a fool you are concerning logis.

And that advantage should come from the heavy weapons and not from a huge EHP pool requiring multiple clips while the dopey fat kid just stands there Like I said, for this genre requiring multiple people to kill another by virtue of gear and not skill is some poorly designed pay to win bullshit

You obviously don't understand that the whole base of the game is for an individuality in each suit.
This game shouldn't be "Oh lets make everyone equal like COD or BF!"
This game should let you be special such as this... When you see a boss in a movie or video game normally there is someone taking him out and this takes a while. Think of heavy's a s a boss.
THEY ARE SUPOSED TO BE A WALKING TANK
Am I insane for going after people with RR's? Probably cause I hear that sound and it makes me want to blow them up:P

I like how you try to play the "You are ignorant and dont logi card" making assumptions about others fits when you dont know them is great hypocrisy
Using another game as an example does fit this one well since the same principles apply, go ahead and glue yourself to a heavy if you dont believe me, unless hes a brain dead moron most heavies will welcome a logi bro back pack keeping them topped up while you use them as a meat shield and he guns down anyone gunning for you while you get to rake in the repair and guardian WP Youll find most people will start to ignore you if someone else is shooting them
Anyway you havent really said anything to refute my points, maybe you should take an hour or so to think of something with substance if you want to be taken seriously

Again, requiring multiple people to take out one person based on gear and not skill is poor game design, thats when you get bullshit spam going on
How is this a difficult concept for people to grasp?

Dust isn't based around team work though, well it doesn't work well with teamwork. Once shot gets out of hand people say screw the logi and ensure they survive. Why? Because ISK. The ISK factor takes away a lot from this game, not saying it's a bad feature but it's just another thing CCP has yet to properly balance.
Why risk my 200K suit helping some scrub with his 200K suit? If I can use him as bait to ensure my survival AND save my hard earned money well hell yeah I'm gonna run.
As a logi I do not aid solo players because they WILL stab you in the back. As a logi I ensure my survival before I ensure yours. As a logi my heals are good but my firepower HAS to be better.
Why? Because in the end you are not helping me survive, I am a tool just like anything else on the field. Thus I am and only I am responsible for myself.
For the Federation!
