I do currently agree with the current kill mechanics. And headshots from me do generally equal death. Im prof 4 scrambler pistol. However! Ive noticed and im sure others have too...We have a single point of hull! when you have 0 armor you can live...get hit again through your shields and your done. HULL!

Here's something that baffls me, how can my massivelly heavy suit fall from the MCC without dampners and survive, with barelly a scratch to my armour, yet my scout jumps from 1/8th that high and instance dies, he weight I'd guess 1/10th my heavies weight.

Depends on several things. Like most QQ in the forums you provide no real facts. You make a statement 'X' but nothing to support it. What sniper rifle are you using, what suit, what skill levels and any damage mods.
I have been consistently killed with OHK from good snipers. Any solid hit with a Charge, Ishokuni or Thale sniper will drop every suit of mine except my Heavy that has ~1500 EHP. Everything else ... dead in one shot. And that Heavy suit has been hit with by a Large Rail Turret and survived.
So, what are you doing wrong?
Tell us and odds are you will get some advice. Possibly even some good advice.
And so it goes.

Falls from the MCC do ~500 damage. The height doesn't seem to factor in past a certain height. Which is undocumented and thus, unknown.
And so it goes.

Typically, helmets are the most durable part of any protective set of clothing, no? Not really... Saw this guy test a 9mm on a old WW2 helmet, and a Modern Kevlar helmet. Same result. Bullet went through. This is the future mind you, but just thought to let you know. Probably our shields that can protect us from lighting aflame from shooting our Sunspitters can handle a shot or two. Plus, We have some (apparently VERY) strong armor beneath our shields, that can hand the heat as well. And getting shot be a high intensity laser multiple times. Wait so the kevlar helmet soldiers have these days is less bullet resistant than a 200$ piece of body armor? Besides we are thinking of this in a conventional sense. Who is to say we even actually look out of the dropsuits? Maybe the whole thing has us completely covered in metal all over and we "see" using camera's and a hud system. This would make is much easier to put armor on the head area. Also why the heck do my shields have any sort of anatomy at all? Honestly i think if my shields are up there should be no extra damage mod to a "headshot" because you hit the shields which have no anatomy. |
