I made the alt specifically for heavy suits (hoping for a respec so I can get the SP back and put it into Gal sentinel). I also have sentinel 3 on my main, as well as HMG 3

9 million SP dedicated Sentinel here. Prof 4 forge gun and Prof 5 and Rapid Reload 5 HMG.
I've invested all my SP into practically nothing but heavy suits, heavy weapons and my core since I started in 1.6.
The love of being an HMG heavy is the only reason I play this game. 95% of my kills (and deaths) were done in a standard Amarr Sentinel A-1 with an MH-82.

I've always had a fascination for using gatling guns in video games. I'm the kind of guy who replayed Black Ops 2 twice using just the Death Machine.
It wasn't my intention to make my post to sound like a chest-beating "true heavy" boast. I mainly play Dust for the sheer enjoyment of listening to the HMG's distinct high-pitched whine and the sound of the bullets impacting armor. That awesome "headshot" sound I occasionally get is just icing on the cake! |

I've been doing it long enough to understand the power of speed tanking with a HMG.
I've been using the HMG enough to appreciate the time when the dispersion was ****** up because it helped me clock all of these Headshots now.
I was in the Funzone before it was cool. (GG, TunRa.)
I started a Heavy on an alt and it was fun. My 12,000,000 SP Rep tanked Assault gK.0 wasn't as awesome as I thought it'd be after 1.0. So, I started bridging the skills between the 2 roles then went full Fatness. Epic, ever since.

I can't check the numbers right now, but if I recall corectly; iv been a heavy for six months, five months as a sentinel.
I am level 5 Amarr sentinel dropsuit, level 5 all three armor skills, level 5 shilds, and level 5 all skills regarding HMG except for max amo (witch is at level 3).
I might get a caldari sentinel suit to see what shild tanking is like, but if it becomes FOTM, I'll just let it collect dust in my inventory.
And quick question; would it be a good idea to swap my side arm from SMG to scrambler pistol with shild tankers in mind?
I'd say walk in my shoes for a day, but you probably still won't understand.

I specced into forge fighting for Pradox, turned out I had a knack for it. Who'd have thought I would have become a proto heavy that day. I remember actually tossing the HMG away the day before it got a buff. Then when I picked it up again, it was like sex on a patio, don't know how that feels, but I'd imagine pretty good.

Been a heavy since closed beta. Although I was off for about two months back then.
Then I specced into forges a month prior to Uprising. Been a forger since.
My forge gun skill tree is fully maxed end-to-end. But my HMG is only maxed on Proficiency and Operation.
My core skill tree - armor, armor plates, shields, electronics, engineering, all maxed.
I just need to start on biotics, and possibly hacking speed. But that will probably be the last one. |

I've always wanted to be a heavy but I have never liked the Amarr heavy. I specced into the basic heavy and level 3 HMG because I can finally fit the role I've wanted since closed beta. If waiting more than a year to get into my role is playing FoTM then so be it.

I have a love hate relationship with heavies.
I remember back in chromosome, there was a wide open terrain we had to cross to get to an objective.
That objective was heavily defended, and anyone who crossed by just running forward was cut down.
We had a heavy, two logis, and me as an assault in squad.
We decided to move forward using the heavy as cover, while the two logis rep the heavy as he is taking fire.
I picked off anyone trying to flank us to kill the logis.
And it worked, we managed to push to the objective and killed everyone there.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.
