If you spawn on my well-placed uplink and drop another one right next to it, you are scum. Get good. Do your own work to put uplinks in tactically useful locations. Learn to fly a dropship.
That is all.

I always place multiple- it's extremely rare that one position warrants more than 30-40 spawns over the course of a match. If more are needed, I will replace them myself. Don't mooch off the hours and millions of ISK I spent learning to pilot a dropship just to support my logi activities. Place them somewhere else so that the enemy can't flux them all at once. Maybe you even get there from my uplink. But doing it 2 inches away from my uplink is a waste of an uplink.

+1 except for the learning to fly a dropship part. Those things are demon posessed and simply cannot be controlled....or I'm just terrible, probably the second one.
Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

True, but when addressing a really tawdry bit of game-ruining opportunism, Logis are the shoulder to tap.

When someone drops an uplink, they are filling the Logi role. That's what I'm referencing, not their suit per se.

Then you should have flown somewhere else.

Always funny yet aggravating when you place an uplink in a good spot, then notice a while later you got 25wp quite awhile ago and nothing else for ages but there are loads of people near your uplink so you bring up the map... and find 10+ uplinks all right next to yours.
This is why I think uplinks should not be able to be placed with a certain radius of each other, I played a game recently on the research lab map and the enemy team spammed uplinks in the supply depot room, I destroyed all of them eventually but it took 2 trips and on those two trips I counted 22 enemy uplinks. There is no logical reason for needing 22 uplinks all within 10m of each other and not to mention the issues with having so much equipment in one spot.
Although have you come across the uplink hijackers in FW yet? pretty much the same as pubs but instead they destroy your uplink and place theirs where yours was. Played a FW the other day I was at one of the outside points and really needed some back up so I go off a little and drop an uplink to await some help. Naturally the first bluedot to spawn on it spawns and immediately shoots it and sets his own uplink in the exact same spot. I assume the type of player who does this are the same ones you see who run around an uplink and drop their own instead a few feet away just to ensure no one else gets points for their actions.
TL:DR In pubs blues are out for themselves only 9/10

I haven't come across that. It makes 0 sense in FW though, they aren't getting a bigger payout for WP farming, why would they do it?!
I completely agree with a limit on uplink placement within a certain radius. Like, say, oh, within 7.2m

Also, don't drop them in the middle of the road/pathway or in a ******* line. Tactically useful locations, like the OP said.
I was going to use that Installation...
