You have all been so helpful since i came to the forums. If its OK i would like to get some more advice. When I calculate profit should i figure by a single match or daily? I can get 200000isk from most matches and i find myself not wanting to lose more than that. If i quit buying better suits my performance is affected. Not by much, but it hurts my kills to deaths ratio. I normally do well at other games but here it is a factor for getting into corporations.
How can I strafe twice as fast? I realize this is probably an exploit but I observe experienced players doing it. Is there a skill to speed it up? If so i can not find it.
When i spawn in I am invincible until I fire unless it is a tank shooting me or a remote explosive. How can I tell if these things are lurking at my spawn. The map works only sometimes. Along the same lines am i really supposed to use this swarm launcher? It feels like someone is playing a prank on me.
I have more but its hard to keep track of answers all in one post.

Rifle fire does not damage me, but tank fire kills me before my screen loads.

Common misconception is that M/KB makes you strafe faster than controller. This is simply not true. M/kb are faster at alternating different directions which might Enhance the Left/right strafe a bit, but the advanced/good players have long since moved passed the simple left right strafe.
Try circle strafing or the figure 8. Basically moving the stick in a circle so that your character makes a circle. It is far more effective than a left/right strafe
This seems good on uneven terrain, I was using cover and suppressing fire until i found out bullets miss a lot.

Should I stock up on war gear or purchase it as needed? Is there other things i should save my isk for?
