Hey Guys,
General Discussion: What are everyone's thoughts on the recent dev blog? I feel that TTK may have the potential to be too high, but may lead to interesting tactics (and more head shots). Will it become Heavy 514/Tank 514? (Video discussion and summary below)

With the above being said, it is hard to predict how the game will feel/play, it could feel better it could feel worse. Either way I think initially it will be a bit of a shock to what we are used to. |

I'm pretty optimistic about the TTK changes. Active tanking fits will have a place again, and the game will heavily reward teamwork with squads who have a good balance of anti-shield and anti-armor weapons performing best. Matches will start to feel more like a warzone than an arena deathmatch. Heavies will be hard to kill (and they should be) but if you make a team of heavies you won't have the mobility you need to win the match. Pub matches might get infested with heavies, but FW and PC shouldn't be affected since heavies can't control the points without medium / light frame help, and those game modes don't reward failure.
All in all I expect it to make the game much more interesting. More variety in fits on the field and more variety in tactics. Some more sandbox would be nice, but I can't complain about what I've seen so far. |

I think you're the first person who I've seen say you're optimistic ^^ It will be nice to potentially crack out the active tank fits again for sure. Only thing I'd say about mobility with a team of heavies is what if they have drop ships an lavs? :( |

I think both variants of the combat rifle will see more use in 1.8 since they will be the second most effective weapons (after the HMGs). I also think that damage modules usage will see a decline as people will now begin to brick tank more often. |

Still great vids and awesome job. I actually looking forward to this changes, im really interested in ushing people more in some strategy and tactic, because for now we have just run ad gun with some point taking. For me is quite inportant if they implement respec, what is actually really needed and wanted by playerbase. Another thing is vehicles and AA weaponry, where is change really needed. But overall i dont trust them too much (honestly anymore), there was big amount of broken promises before and game still stagnating with no proper progress. By my side of view i looking for better future, but not the long one because i still feeling the gameplay like someknind of beta. Blacklight and Hawken were basicaly better finished in beta, than dust now after release of 1.7. I still praying for better future of this game, i like ideas putted inm but without proper direction i propably leave on autumn time when Destiny will be released.

I heart mass drivers. Have been getting some practice in, in anticipation for 1.8.

Yeah, I hope it improves by then too. I think CCP Rouge, from what I hear, is doing an amazing job, so I hope it has a quick and lasting impact on the game. |
