To much inter dependency in today's global markets.
So let's say Russia does invade past the Crimea region of the Ukraine. The EU and US respond first with sanctions. Then Russia retaliates and seizes those assets on their soil. Which will effect global markets. This is all just saber rattling. One last huzzah to prove still that Russia is still viable in the world stage and able to project its military might beyond its borders and just not for defense.
China would not stand for a conflict so close to their borders either. The big risk here is the break down in the Syrian and Iranian peace process as Russia is a member of the Security Council and the G8. So no WW3 for right now, come out of your bomb shelter. |

Europe is also defended by both the Patriot and Iron Dome missile defense system which is why Putin moved their snap launch vehicles closer to Europe as to get past the first line defenses. Regardless of which Prime Minister, President or elected government is currently in office notice the main efforts are being done by Poland. And the new meeting for the G8 that was being held to discuss Lebanon will now be dominated by a relatively bloodless moment.
Yet hundreds have been killed in the Middle East with ever escalating violence. How quickly the West abandons them to solve a European problem first. That is where the greatest shame should lay. |

The US has already pledges $1bn to the Ukraine and the IMF has pledged $835 million. The Ukraine has also asked for international observers so that the conflict does not escalate further. There have already been multiple talks between the world leaders. It won't come to a conflict, I promise. So please take off your tin foil hats, take a step back from right wing journals and use your brains. Look at multiple sources and make your own judgement on the matter at hand.
This is why much of the world has a problem with Americans. To many of us are ignorant of world affairs. Rose tinted shades of our role in world history. Also a general lack of intelligence. So for once lets not embarrass our country and not speak unless you know all the details. Kthxbai. |

I speak of the issues in Syria that involve Lebanon and Iran. The civil war that can resume if Russia decides to no longer support the peace process. |

Like a reach around.
Though more seriously many consider it an attempt by Putin to setup a new Soviet-lite Union. |
