I am left to wonder if these changes will actually change anything in regards to slayer logis? I understand the nerf to damage mods, but @CCP, the problem has and always will be that logi's have more CPU/PG with more slots than the assault counterparts. If the problem was stacking dmg mods before....how are these proposals going to change that? Unless the medium suit racial bonuses are DIRECT DPS buffs like the commando, slayer logis will still out perform their assault counterparts, just with much more WP potential through the equip bonus.
Medium suit slots aren't changing so Logis still have more highs/lows than assaults. Throw a CPU enhancer on a logi and now they have the same amount of open slots as an assault starts with, but with a LOT more CPU. Add in the equip bonus, and now they still have a lot of resources to brick tank and stack damage mods. Once again, Why would anyone specialize into the assault frame when a logi frame offers better modules with more resources, and more WP options?
The next problem I see, is how is it that commando's racial buff is the equivalent of 2+ complex mods? I understand giving the suit a meaningful niche on the battlefield, but in the name of balance, COME ON! Maybe start at +1% per level and see what a 5% increase to damage at proto looks like before you add 2 free complex modules to every mando suit...
Other than that, most of the changes make sense...I agree that CCP are the #1 Caldari jock riders though. Another build of getting WTFRRPWND.
Awaiting patch notes and finalized suit stats before I start the real QQ though
Also does anyone know how the grenade nerf will affect contact nades? Still carry just 1? Are they removed? Do we get to carry 2 again???

Commandos deserve to be better than assaults in offensive capabilities. They're offense specialists, where assaults are more versatile. Commandos won't be as mobile or versatile in their fittings as assaults are. The best players will still be able to make Commandos work outside of their intended role but the majority will need assault suits more commonly. Besides the fact that they're also less versatile, Commandos will always cost more and end up needing extra skills to maximize their roles(CCP's words, not mine).
I hope you're right about commandos. But I'm still not sold on the slayer logi...A lot will have to do with the finalized assault racial bonuses.
Ultimately, the assault racial bonus needs to be > fitting resources of the slayer logi. But until we know the bonuses, we can't draw too many conclusions.
As it stands: These are all OK as the logibro should look like this, but when the suit is built for slaying it brings us back to square 1 of Uprising.
EhP Logi > assault
Slots Logi > assault
Fitting Diversity Logi > assault
WP production Logi > assault
Suit resources Logi > assault

I don't disagree with you at all. You should also be able to squeeze some repping nanohives on there lol.
I just don't understand when CCP acknowledges an imbalance, then proposes a whole bunch of changes that do anything BUT fix the original imbalance.

Again, this nerf will simply degrade the logi frame to the assault frames current level (only the minmatar gets a passive rep @ 1hp) but you will still have more slots + resources.
