I don't understand your point or motivation for the question.
If you use an inferior suit and weapon, then expect to die faster. That is my point. In this game you can have over 700jp or 800hp of health for an assault or more! The game is designed that way.....which is why we have so many bullets in a mag. So, if you come out with 200hp of health, you should expect to die.
It's like scouts complaining that they get instakilled by heavies. If you choose to go low ehp, then you should expect to die if someone shoots at you. The only guys getting insta-killed are low ehp players. And the idea is to add health when you need it.
The point is that we have modules/suits for choice. If weapon damage vastly overrides any suit choices beyond minor variance with complex modules on high level suits, the choice is illusory.
If you profer an option to a new player to use a shield extender, or indeed, multiple shield extenders, to increase the duration in which it takes to kill them, and this is not in fact the case... your customization has failed. While the lesser modules should in fact be lesser, if the difference in a "fully-tanked" STD Caldari shield suit is no different from one that didn't fit those tanking modules, then your choices don't matter.
Besides, if you're so imminently skilled as a rambo-type as you believe yourself to be, then managing to aim at a player longer than they aim at you should be no problem. Hell, aim at their head. You won't even notice but a slight difference.
Having a high kill count doesn't make the game more satisfying than any number being higher might. A game where you can custom-fit your suit to engagements shouldn't be about average engagements being very short. It's about the battle, the fight - not your tally. CCP has access to every death stat from every match in the entire game. They can tell what average TTK is much better than you. It's possible they're overshooting with the changes, but I think they were able to measure the status quo just fine. It seems like this means they have better grasp on current TTK as an average across the entire game across tiers than your video does. The plural of anecdote is not data.
If you're really into seeing numbers go up as a satisfaction mechanic for games, there's browser games involving cookies that get the numbers really high for you.
