My best estimate based on kills during the time of the event and percent of each match that I ran my HMG is about 1200 kills with an HMG (plus a dropship kill that I some how stole from a forge gunner using my HMG) with about 100-150 of those being heavies that I took down.
I am crossing my fingers that I capped it since I really did not keep any actual count either way I know I got close and really enjoyed the event. I never ran the HMG before this event and went ahead and went to Prof 3 on the HMG for this so props to CCP on this one, they got their data for balancing and I got some new enjoyment in the game. |

Well, to be fair, that's to be expected. DUST is made by the same company who brought us EVE: Spreadsheets In Space.
If the game wasn't wonky, brutal, and a bit tedious, it just wouldn't be right. (Don't get me wrong. I love thatGǪ to a certain extent.)

1301 effective kills I managed to keep track of.
I combined the kills i got on heavies with my kills i got with the hmg.
these are the confirmed kills I got during the event, i'm not sure how many tank pilots had heavy suits, or how many kills I got on heavies with grenades and or I just didn't keep track of.
also the first day of the event I didn't keep track of my kills on heavies at all. |

Getting rewarded for helping capture or defend objectives would be cool, but we don't even have normal WP in the game for doing that right now. I doubt CCP would add that feature just for an event. And that's kinda what I mean about limited resources; new features require time and effort to be put in. They can't just add in everything they want at once. Tanking damage would be waaaaaay too easy to farm.

Well, glad to see that I wasn't the lowest (it sure felt like it when I had only about 10% of the required kills), but I damn sure wasn't anywhere near the highest. That was to be expected though, as I limited myself to only the forge gun (I used the Mauler fits I got from both the Newsletter and the $5 Tactical Pack sale during the holidays. Out of my original 125, only 40 remain).
I paid a price not to stain my hands with rust, and that price was 678k SP.
Now is the winter of our non-content.
