Didn't want to use it as I felt it was OP, but playing logi and getting snipped from 80M+ I can do nothing to defend myself.
Even my preferred also OP Combat Rifle that I use as my Burst Assault Rifle because of lower CPU/PG just doesn't match in range.

Nice idea except Mass Driver doesn't go up on a building or maybe I am doing it wrong. I am usually on the ground and enemies at the stop

its not that bad... it youwould have had done it to take out one of those real rr scrubs. thats the only time i ever use a rr right now. if im getting smashed by an entire squad toting them around.

If you fins yourself out matched you should consider retreating or engaging them on better terms. Little quote from CCP. As a caldari do you know what I do if I see a scrambler? I run. Sure sometimes I don't have that option but I don't try to out range or out fight a gun designed to kill me. |

And about Caldari running away from Scrambler Rifles thats a good point but sadly I use Caldari and have to run away from Rail Rifles too.
I still think a long ranged fully automated weapon is a mistake.
Burst Assault Rifle is a good example of how long range scope guns should be

Considering the massive amount of range and accuracy the gun has right now, yes it is OP. For a medium range weapon (rifle) to do that high damage at long range is ridiculous.
Quite honestly it needs to be tuned down, and if it is meant to be a long range decimator, better map design and a close range nerf to it would be good. Think like LR now, with the optimal being X-Max range, X being greater than Zero.
RR is poop, and will be poop. Also, from personal use, a CR at close range has higher DPS than the RR. But The RR is OP as it is. Not by too much, but enough to notice it.

For me like a logi-support/tactician on field is RR something essential, im mostly behind every ataking squad and i basicaly need something with range.
And nope Gaussie is not OP, AR is shreder on any range with faster rate.

yup, people see dmg and they have stamp OP in heads, actually i was mostly killed by AR since beta. And thats a still same story. I tried CB and i basicaly cant go though burst variant, i tried ScR and i dont like it too. I know AR from mlt suits and its shorter, than i need like a logi. Basicaly i need something how i told, something what can shoot from second line and i found it in RR.
Now i want to try magsec, but im not sure about range, if it will be fine by me.

A good LR will teach RR & CR users about range. You have to use it correctly and it takes practice but if you can stay in optimal nothing will touch a laser rifle. I like using it on a heavy because you can stay out a little longer because drop off is pretty rough passed optimal with the LR and a CR/RR will out DPS you at ranges past optimal. If you are good at staying on target and dictating range then the LR is the best weapon for you, if you can get to the optimal.

LR is hardcore on an Amarr suit with the bonus turned all the way to five. I am very worried about the buff being too much and causing the LR to get another hardcore nerf and to be honest it is the only thing in 1.8 I am really worried about. I think upping the damage at short range may be a mistake. I am waiting to see how it is in the wild before I get all worked up.
