That goes entirely against the spirit of the game. You are, by definition, making yourself worse at DUST by spreading yourself out. Cool, you can mix it up with stuff that's slightly better than the MLT garbage you can get anyways. If you aren't maxing out your build, you're either doing it wrong, or you're a casual. In a game that doesn't allow you to alter your investments, spreading out your investments is a BAD investment heh if you think that continue doing your thing =) maybe that's why you complain so much. that philosophy makes sense in eve, but in a game where you can switch combat roles in a blink of an eye, it pays off to have multiple builds, of course for me, I have 40 million sp so meh. I don't even complain that much anymore because I just don't ******* care anymore, this game deserves every bad review that it's been given since "release" I'm a pilot, and most of my complaints have been from that perspective. Not everyone is sitting on a ton of SP, I only have 25 million which is split between a few build (which is still a TON of SP compared to plenty of players). Infantry play is boring as SIN in this game, so about 16 million of my SP just sits there being unused because even if I had a ton of bad builds to switch between, I simply wouldn't because I'm not going to play something that now bores me to death. Go ask any PC group what you need to get into their PC team. 10 ISK says it's at least one full proto build with all relevant skills maxed or near maxed. So again, either you're doing it wrong, you're a casual (or, addendum) you're in the top 5% when it comes to SP, and can finally afford to branch out because you still have maxed out builds to fall back on.
I do have 24M SP and i'm a closed beta player, and have my core Skills for infantry maxed out, PROTO CAL LOGI and Maxed OUT the AR, and i have fun to play because i play almost every role on the Game, did have a blast Mauling People on the Mauler Event, and when i get bored to play as a HVY use a MLT MIN Scout and Start to Put Bullet in the back of the people with a STD CR, the days i feel blue i use my Charge Sniper and dispatch RedBerries to the blender and make Juice. But to everyone his own. Opinions are like butts... everyone has one. Hope to c u comeback in 1.8 if u consider it playable ;)
