This differs from the Space craft which just use giant energy banks, the energy banks are fed by a generator which provides a constant current giving a passive regen.
In terms of gameplay, if we name each cycle or recharge a tick, each tick lasts a second, now if you get shot during that second during passive regen you can loose all of it. If you get shot during burst regen you don't loose any of the regen from that tick, therefore burst regen is more beneficial. Thats BS If we had Capacitors it would mostly be on vehicles at least No no no...
Capacitor in a RL sense. A component that stores an electrical charge. Once said Shield Recharge Capacitor Fills up enough, it discharges into your shields, increasing their strength until the computer in your DS says "STOP! Your gonna blow it up!"

On the ground, you have cover. It fits better for an FPS. Si.

If Shields were to regen quickly over time constantly, what would be the point in running armor? "More armor?" Nah. When armor can be depleted quickly and takes time to recover, it would make much more sense to run shields. Less eHP than the Armor tankers but pretty much more survivability since you can out regen them along with flank them since they're slow...
Thats the point stupid....shuelds are supposed to regen faster. Either I'm successfully being trolled or you're not making a light of damn sense. Shield regenerating overtime consistently, like armor repair, would upset the balance. There wouldn't be a reason to run armor. You rep constantly, have no mobility penalty, and could just stack repair mods on the low slots. Sure you can use damage mods with the armor tanking but you can already be outran and flanked, as many of us often are, but now your enemy will regenerate those hits in a matter of seconds? You know what that means? I can stack three damage mods(the highest amount for fitting efficiency) on my Gk.0, hit you with my weapon in CQC and you will have a better chance at escaping. And we haven't even gotten to the BS math. Getting 20 Shields per second consistently? PFFT. 40 come 1.8
30 on the heavy. If they aren't regen tanking at all.
EDIT- On Caldari Suits.
