There are flavors of every type of dropsuit.

Just as you have min assaults who shield and speed tank, you also have min assaults who armor and damage tank.

Scouts are the same way.

I know Lightning runs about 270 shields and a basic plate for armor (With an ACR), and I know that I generally run a fully shielded Min Scout with Speed and Stamina.

They are built for different reasons. Mine has more emphasis on speed and overall mobility, while his sacrifeces both to gain a better armor buffer for combat.

In short, it's built for battle. Which makes sense. Cause he kills like 30+ People a round.

I could do that with my above suit, but I would end up dying more.

One of them was the ck0 guy, because he camped long enough to let me plant him. Most of the blood was shed with CR+Toxin swap. People really rely to much on their passive scanning. At that, they can be wildly successful. Scouts die if anything named duvolle looks at them but obliviously their low profile and speed makes up for some of it. I tend to NOT like running in an organized group, because when I play solo I am a big fish in a small pond, do alright and usually get in the top 3 of the leader board and collect my iskies. When I run with Lighting xVx he always doubles my war points and I am left collect half of what I usually could get (all while giving him 5% anyways, blah). Plus, I usually die all the same; if not more cause he kills all the easy targets and leaves me to deal with everyone else if I want to get a kill at all. I don't consider running proto alone or in groups to be all that proto stomping because we have maybe 300 - 400 combined armor and shield if you give up your options to stack plates or extenders. Most starter fits have that.

I would argue that that isn't "stomping" though. More like proto-shanking. Getting stomped is coming up against a bricked proto slayer, dropping them to half health, then dying because of their gear.

I still primarily run a Speed tanking suit, the match we were fighting in I had 1 armor plate because one or two guys were using the Kali Rail Rifles on me, so what better way to kill them then with their own weapon?
