It's not the dying or the losing dropships that bother me, I've only 7m SP after all. So it's be expected.
I'm just wondering why it is that everyone always stacks the one side. During the EU timezones I don't think I've seen a single squad fighting for the Caldari.
Yet the gun and turrets are worth having, right?
It's the small missile turrets that I try and earn as I only have the skill points for ADV atm. |

Because it's EZ-mode.

I mainly use Gallente and Minmatar weaponry/equipment/modules. Even my suit is Gallente. Until other factions get the things I use I have no reason to fight for any other faction besides Minmatar. Kinda enjoy having my own personal store of shotguns, explosives, and armor plates. They could be doing the same thing. I see Caldari winning a lot when I am on it just depends on the time of day. Some people just pick whoever seems to win the most I don't. Others just que for everything. Everything I picked was planned ahead of time and now get to see the benefits from it.

In the first 2 weeks of fw 2.0, matches were more evenly divided between corps and alliances, win and loss ratios were like 60/40. When the realities of the isk sink and low rewards became apparent, corps/alliances organized themselves to not waste resources fighting each other and stacked on sides which wouldn't burn each other out.

Proto Assault and Gallente, for the 100th time, before they were cool. Since LP suits are the best investment per point (a proto suit comes out to over 300 isk per LP spent, while modules average out to 53 isk per LP spent ((Market Price-LP Isk Price)/LP is how I'm coming up with those values) that's why I fight for the Gallente, though Minmatar are getting most of my time in preparation for 1.8.

I've seen some good players fight for the Caldari. Mostly late at night in the US EST.
Also, early morning US EST right after downtime.

Bringing a squad of your own makes them panic, as they expect an easy match, and instead they get proto assaults and logis with rail rifles.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

I understand why Amarr is underrepresented but I still don't quite get why nobody goes for the Caldari because of the RR. Makes no sense to me.
I mean, yes, everyone in Dust loves the Gallente because of "freeeeeeedom!" and the gal logi, I guess that's enough to drive people away from Caldari because it's hard mode.

A good bit of players do it because it's EZ-Mode. It wasn't always like this though. Because the Gallente started off with a powerful stomp due to coordination and collaboration before 1.7 was released. Now everyone's switched over. Leave it to Dust mercenaries to be so easy to switch sides.

Cal has my SR and RR. Amarr has my uplinks and cardiac. Gs have my suit, shotgun, AR, mods, scanner, tank, and turrets. Min have my REs and SMG (fave weapons type).
So it makes sense for me to play on the G side most of the time.

Mainly because Gallente Federation is SPACE AMERICA. (Actually they have a kind of communist mentality and socialist ideology that would make them WAY different from the US, but most people people stop reading after "GLORIOUS DEFENDERS OF LIBERTY."

It is getting a little better on the Caldari side of things.
Honestly, if I was to look at lore...Gallente would be my first pick. But I do not really subscribe to much Meta-game yet. We have always played Faction Warfare because it was the only way to q-sync more than 6 players into a game since PC does not support smaller Corps unless you want to jump through a lot of hoops. When 2.0 rolled out and Mercs everywhere decided that Gallente and Minmatar was the place to be...wait times for those sides got longer and longer. So we just started fighting Caldari to expedite things.
Honestly I rather enjoy the challenge. Fighting tough opponents helps you get better...or so they say. I know the victories taste a bit sweeter. Anyway, after a while we finally found an Alliance that valued the same things we did and shared our attitude toward the game. Just so happens they are big Caldari supporters. We have also noticed that the defeats are less and less...and the losses are not so one-sided.
To be honest I have only ever spent a few hundred LP....on Swarm Launchers I think. The limited pubs we play nets enough to keep me in the fight. Then again, my workhorse rig is only about 43k ISK. All I know is that the systems we fight in have gone from Caldari controlling 0% to like 10-11%.
F**k it. It's a game. Just fight the good fight. |

Also, early morning US EST right after downtime. This. Based on my experience from the US Eastern time zone: Mid-day (from 11:00AM to about 3:00PM) is cakewalk time for Gal/Min factions, even without squads (last game had one squad, with one person in it) Evening (8:00PM and later) is when you'll see the uber-squads come out for the Amarr/Caldari sides.
Again...hardly any middle ground to provide entertaining matches. It's always one stacked side vs. bullet sponges.
Life is killing me.
